Easy Caramel Bars (ala Max’s)
Caramel bars are sweet treat to share with friends and family.
Today’s recipe takes a sweet turn as we are going to be talking about one of my favorite sweet treats – Caramel Bars! These bars always remind me of my home in the Philippines, as I would always buy them with my parents at local restaurants. After moving to Europe, I wasn’t able to find them anymore. Even though Europe has many types of caramel, none of them tasted like the ones I had at home.
This recipe took quite a while to get right, but I finally got it the way I wanted it. For something that has such simple ingredients, you wouldn’t expect caramel to be so hard to perfect! But don’t worry, with my recipe you’ll get delicious caramel every time
Although it may seem like a simple caramel bar recipe, it is so much more than that for me. When my father passed away, I couldn’t help but miss my home even more. But when I eat these caramel bars, I am transported back in time to when my father would buy these for me. It’s not just about the sweet taste, but all the good memories I have of my father as well. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do, and can create everlasting memories with your kids while making them.
These caramel bars may seem intimidating at first, but it’s much simpler than you think. If you take the correct precautions, you can make this caramel bars easily like a pro! If you enjoy these caramel bars, leave me a comment below on how it went for you. I always love to learn new twists on my recipes, so let me know as well if there are any changes you made to the recipe.
Hope you enjoy and have a nice day!
